Welcome @mhart032,

.……………………………
Up next Johnathan Wilson "Rare Birds".

I own two JW lps, "Gentle Spirit" and a RSD 4 song,12"/45rpm that includes "Isn’t It A Pity". I’ve been a fan ever since but I’ve let his work since, slide. Some of you may know he's been collaborating with Father John Misty. He moved from Wilmington, NC to Laurel Canyon a while back. I picked up "RB" (his latest, 2018) recently...."All songs recorded and mixed using the Studer A-80 mk. III master recorder" "Rare Birds" was mixed to ATR Magnetics 1/4" tape on the Amperex ATR 102 tape deck". "RB" vinyl laquers cut by Chris Bellman @ BG Mastering" Well, I think you can see why I have high hopes for the SQ. Here we go...…...

Regarding the "JW" lp…..I’m finding it to be, not at all what I had expected. (I guess between his first lp and his latest, & with all of his time with Father John Misty and two of his own lps in between) I should not be surprised. The SQ is great upon first listen. This is one lp that will require multiple listens to evaluate properly and I’m up to the challenge. I’m hearing some of "A Deeper Understanding"/ The War On Drugs, and a hint of Peter Gabriel in the mix. Very interesting.
Then comes side 4.
