The magnets used in the Omega E Mats are nothing more than the same material used in refrigerator advertisement magnets. Having a pacemaker installed earlier in the year, and prompted by member "almarg," I took one to my cardiologist and showed it to him. He said about the same thing you did. The Omega E Mat doesn't have enough magnetic power to trip the pacemaker. He also said that the pacemaker manufacturers overblow the cautions in their instruction/manual ... to avoid being sued. So far, with multiple Omega E Mats in the system, each one being handled by me, no problems what so ever.
