Best used preamp processor

I'm bias but IMHO the Theta Casanova is hard to beat.

I purchased a nht controller some time ago for a little more than your budget and have been very pleased. Recently saw one go for your intended price at the bay.

The big issue is whether the OP needs HDMI input/processing for audio, an important feature and neither of the suggested ones will do that, afaik.
