Streamer choices

I’ve had a rather rocky road with the Cambridge and prefer the Blusound Node 2i.  The Cambridge kept lousing the stream.  I use a Toslink connection to a McIntosh C52 preamp.  It seems to work well—I’m listening to it as I type this.

Some options that should be an upgrade to Bluesound in your price point would be NAD, Bel Canto, and Lumin.

I have been using an auralic Aries for about 4 years. I bought it along with a Wadia 321/315 to listen to high resolution content. Initially I purchased my music from HD tracks now I am using Qobuz as well. I provide the  downloaded files to the Aries via a USB drive. I love the Aries I’m really glad I bought it.

I understand the point now about the 320 kbps. I thought the next level upgrade would make a difference with my Mac equipment. Right now I am only streaming from Spotify. Maybe I should keep the status quo. Thankx

Just rechecked our family Spotify account. I do have the premium at 320kbps. So an upgrade should be ok.
