don sach's custom kt88 tube amp

I would love to try his pre and amp.  Keep it coming folks! I'm enjoying hearing about your experiences.  

Any more updates on people's experiences with Don's amp and/or preamp? I have had the preamp for about three weeks now, and will take delivery of the amp a week from Monday. It has shipped, but now has to travel cross country. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to hearing how they sound together.

You are in for a treat and the combination of the DS2 and the Kootenay 120 is quite amazing! It's going to sound pretty good on install but will make dramatic changes over 75 hours of use.

I will certainly do that. I had Don send the preamp with WE 6SN7s, and the amp with WE KT88s. I have been following these threads on Don's gear for some time and much appreciate your feedback, as well as that of other owners.   

Hopefully, I'll be ready to chime in with thoughts of my own in two or three weeks.

After reading the Shuguang WE Plus description, I just had to try them and what do you know; a treasure find.

Let me know if you have any questions on tubes selection or placement, you can tailor the sound to your liking.
