Are you looking at a multichannel or two channel application? Second, are you planning to use the analog outs or as HDMI transport into a processor?

It's hard to beat the Sabre32 dac used in the Oppo, a big reason this unit sounds so good.

I recently received my analog and digital modded Oppo 103 back from EVS. Mods included the EVS Super Chip and Audio Magic Pulse Gen ZX RFI/EMI device. The sound of CD is killer on my headphone system: Bada PH12 Hybrid SET headphone amp, cryo'd Sennheiser 600s with cryo'd Stephan Arts Equinox cable, Analysis Plus Copper Oval Mini In ICs, Analysis Plus Pro Power Oval and Shunyata Blue Heaven power cord. All cables cryo'd and broken in on Alan Kafton's latest Audiodharma Cable Cooker.
