Need some suggestions on Toe-in for my Ascendants. My speakers are 7.5' apart, 4.8' from back wall, 3.8' from side wall with a listening position of 7.5'. They are currently toed in 3/16", not sure what that is in degrees but how much more toe-in would you recommend?
May I suggest 1/2" as a starting point an then fine tune the toe-in from there depending on your room acoustics and taste. If you want a more spacious airy sound-scape keep them straighter. If you think you need more focus and more chiseled images toe them in more.
Take your time and give yourself a chance to absorb and learn what the change in movement is doing to the sound.
It all depends on the room. Try straight ahead first, and hear what that's like, then slightly toe them and find out if you like that sound...more depth, but less width. Some rooms even favor toeing out. Experiment..the only way to know.
