Good points made above regarding matching speakers to the room. I had an epiphany of sorts last year when I dropped the small Katz Meows in my 12' x 13' room. I had been fighting trying to get good sound in here for several years with Maggie's, Martin Logan's and Klipschorns, all good speakers but never sounded right. The Katz with the 8" main really opened my eyes because as soon as they started to play I realized my main problem was speakers that were too big for the room. I've since had Zu Omens and now Lores and I fight no more.
Not sizing the speaker to the room is one of the most common mistakes made in audio.
Rsfphil well u know what they say bigger isn't always better in some cases but in mine Bigger is definently better ..... Those panels on your listening room ruined the experience not to mention the amp thats older then me and Gpowered put together ... Lol .... I mean Scott is legendary but these speakers pack alot more then what your Scott amp can produce.... But that's how it is in the audio world ..... Btw I'm happy you got the Lores back rsfphil enjoy ....
8ohm Pendragon? Yes.

I talked with Eric last week. Looks like enough folks were interested that he's taking a long, serious look at rejiggering the Pendragon to support an 8ohm variant. Will need different drivers, of course, but Eric said he knew where he wanted to go with it. 98db @ 8 ohms minimum. Might be a whole different thing, no?
Just hooked up my Lores today. I do notice a change in soundstage when listening while standing and with the top driver at ear level. What are you guys doing to raise this speaker up? I listen alot just standing around. I don't want to put them on a pedestal. Does Eric have a longer spike for the front spike holes?
