Crystal Gayle-EveAnna Manley

Just two minutes ago I received and opened a CD by Crystal Gayle, have not yet played it (obviously), but was surprised and pleased to read in the acknowledgements that she has included thanks to "EveAnna for her excellent Manley Microphones", thought at least one other here would like to know this fact.

By the way, the recording is her singing a numerb fo country classics, in case you have a curiosity to take a listen.

Eric (bdp24), for the record EveAnna Dauray Manley is not David Manley's daughter. She was his wife for a number of years. But yes, by all accounts I've ever seen she has done a great job heading up the Manley company since the mid-1990s.

Great lady; and a hoot!  My main amplifiers, Manley 200/100 monos were EveAnna’s personal amps which I purchased from her at a NY audio show many moons ago.  Great amps!  Still have her handwritten biasing instructions on a memo card.  She and her co. have always been great dealing with for service and advice.  With her continuing great reputation, and the way things go in this hobby with depreciation of gear, that card may be worth more than the amps some day 😊 (no reflection on the great quality of the amps).
@almarg, EveAnna was David's wife? Um, that's.....odd ;-). So, when he left the U.S. he was leaving her too? She's a tattoo, piercings, and purple hair kinda chick, and looks younger than Luke. I coulda sworn!
Hi Eric,

The answer to the two questions stated in your previous post is "yes." And yes, she is young enough to have been his daughter :-)

In addition to Rpeluso’s post just above, that can be confirmed via a number of online references. And the following statements in an article Stereophile published upon David Manley’s passing will be of interest:

... Manley leaves behind a rich legacy that continues to grow under the leadership of, for VTL, his son Luke Manley and daughter-in-law Beatrice Lam, and for Manley Labs, his fifth wife, EveAnna Manley.

... Disagreements over distribution channels eventually led to a split between father and son. David did what is often termed in AA circles as "a geographic," and briefly split to Spain, where he tried to open a factory. When that didn’t pan out, David and his wife of three years, EveAnna, moved into the current Manley Laboratories building in Chino in 1993 with half the crew, inventory, and the ViTaL record label and home studio. Luke retained the rest of the operation and began running VTL. Three years later, David left for France, where he lived with his sixth wife, Veronique.

Best regards,
