In need of advice on speaker choice

I have a Yamaha M2 amp with a C85 preamp and am looking for advice on pairing speakers with it. I see a pair of Keff r900's for sale at $2,500 but have not listened to them yet. I have another system with JBL L-65 speakers which I love.
There are so many options out there and I don't know enough to make a good decision. I am looking for used but do not want to spend more than $2,500 for a pair. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

   If you don't mind used, L-100 can be had for less than $1000 on ebay and craigslist. 4430 sounds even better for around $2500 second hand.

   You might have to redo the x-over on very old ones though.

The house sound of KEF and JBL should be very different so visit dealers or check out reviews/owner feedback on these speakers as this should help.

Room size and type of music, volume, if you had to pick between deep bass, loud volume, transparency, go out and get a feel for what you like and then come back and shop for deals
