Why would you need a switcher? The sub would be hooked up all the time. It goes off by itself after no signal for about 15 minutes.
BTW, I own 4 JL Audio F-113 subs.

Hooking up my JL sub
Why would you need a switcher? The sub would be hooked up all the time. It goes off by itself after no signal for about 15 minutes.Sorry I didn't make it clear, the switcher is for the subwoofer to select input from either the DAC1/LOC or Marantz AV7005 sub out. https://www.markertek.com/product/arx-rs-1/arx-rs-1-remote-switcher-stereo-xlr-balanced-remote-contr... |
@ozzy Probably the easiest and best way would be to use either an electronic crossover, or just simply use a y adapter. One end goes to the main amp then speakers, the other goes to sub. You can adjust the sub for the proper low level point, What’s the y adapter look like? Sorry a noob here. Will this work? https://www.crutchfield.com/S-DH5rbymUfUX/g_721/Line-Out-Converters.html |
ghulamr, A Y adapter has a RCA male on one end and 2 RCA females on the other. You plug the RCA male into the Preamp out and then use one of the RCA females for the main amp and the other RCA for the sub. You would need 2 for both channels (R&L). Do a google search I'm sure you have seen them. What you have inserted in your post would work but looks to be more for car stereo. You can buy high quality Y adapters that won't degrade the signal as much. ozzy |
