Recently Inherited a Kenwood L-O7D

....so I recently inherited a Kenwood L-O7D and am looking to hook it in to my existing system.  I'm not sure when it was used last; however the person who owned it did not skimp on cost or quality, and had been ailing for some time, which makes me believe it had been a few months at least since it's last use.    A few questions: I have the power source, but does it still require a pre-amp?    I'm not as a accomplished audiophile as I see some of the folks here are, and if I can't get it to work properly, I would be interested in selling it, but would like some info on how to go about the process. I'm reluctant to do eBay, but also understand shipping a 72-lb turntable is fraught with danger. Any advice?  Thanks!

Lucky, I have been looking for an identical one for years and I can't find it and someone instead falls a L07D from the sky without understanding how it could have happened.... lol
Very very nice and consider yourself blessed with one of the premier vintage DD decks around.

About all I get to inherit are debts.......
If an L07D falls from the sky, it will likely fragment unless very well secured.
