Turntable mat options

I'm happy with my Rega RP8/Apheta 2, but am rethinking the standard issue felt mat and would appreciate the group's thoughts: should I sit tight, use no mat at all, or consider something different? Thanks, Chip

I replaced the rubber mat on my Technics SL1200G with the Oracle record mat.  It made a world of difference.  Much better definition. It goes for around $200.00.
uber,
FWIW he doesn't believe that electronics burn in time changes sound quality either. OP / Sorry

I think MyMat would have been a better solution for 1/4 the cost.
I enjoyed lighweight Carbon Graphite Mat from Sakura Systems, it's $250 and can be used on belt drive turntable. My reference mat is Micro Seiki CU-180 and CU-500 (both are too heavy for a belt drive turntables), another great mat is SAEC SS-300 that you could use too.
