Los Angeles - Who is up for a w/e Subwoofer demo?

Hi peeps,

I've been thinking that I type a lot of theory without giving fellow a'goners the chance to listen for themselves, especially when it comes to subwoofer integration.
So, question is how many people in the greater Los Angeles area would be up for a subwoofer demo in an apartment some weekend?

Hello david_ten,

Thanks for the link to one of my favorite episodes, that video was a good summary of the entire episode in only a few minutes.  I miss that show.
Hello Erik,
As far as subs go, I'll be 2K miles away but can state with certainty that either the Audio Kinesis Swarm or Debra 4-sub DBA will be the undisputed champ if you have one on-hand to audition.  Don't even bother holding the shindig if you don't. You can't be the champ if you can't beat the champ.

@noble100   Tim, I can't wait for the Airing of the Sub Grievances!!!

And, if Kenny G does show, the 'perfect' 'custom' Feats of Strength with Erik....
So I really should be more clear. :)

The purpose of the demo would be to show how well a single sub can be integrated with a pair of satellites, and what that sounds like.

I’ll be demoing:

  • Hsu V15
  • miniDSP
  • GIK Accoustic panels and soffit traps
  • My very own custom 2-way satellites
  • Luxman 507ux
  • Mytek Brooklyn
  • Raspberry Pi / Linux based Tidal music player.

I don’t really intend to sell anyone on Hsu, but rather to show how important proper integration is.

BTW- Hsu makes really great subs for cheap, but that’s not my point here. :)  The Hsu is literally 4x more subwoofer than my little apartment should have!
Fair enough but only if I can bring Vandertones disc and my RTA

facts and data will set you free :-)
