@slaw Steve - it’s a long story but the short of it is I met Roger in the 80’s when I worked at a Beveridge dealer. Reconnected in early 2018 seeking some advice on electrical engineering texts and test equipment, possibly attending Burning Amp. I mused to War Dept it would be cool to have one of his amps as homage ( RIP ). One with KT-88 in rosewood came up local, so here we are....
@reubent

You would be proud of me!
Bit the bullet and been through my records this morning.
Culled about 50 lps and 20 CDs to go to my giveaway source.
Only about 1900 left now.....😂😂
The Unforgettable Fire .... U2.

Was going to turf this but playing it and better than I remember so it stays.

The other 50 I am not even going to look at again...be strong!
@uberwaltz  - Good man! Be strong. Rock on! Might as well pass them on to someone who will enjoy them.

I've got about 90 (so far) that are off my shelf in the trade pile and deep storage pile. There are some that I simply cannot git rid of, even if I know I'll never listen to them. Most of those have sentimental value, mostly family hand-me-downs, or stuff from my childhood. I'm going to put those in a separate crate and place them on a shelf in the basement utility room.

So, since starting my culling last summer, I think I'm down about 150/200 total LPs. Almost done. But it will be an on-going battle keeping the number down to the approx. 520 that fit in my record rack.

Now, to get on the 1500/2000 CDs I've got on the shelf and in storage bins.......
