Therefore, at some point, the doctors, being surveilled by the DEA, refuse to refill prescriptions. At that point, the "addict" is forced to doctor shop, then seek out street dealers, and then possibly turn to heroin. Rush, to his credit, entered rehab and kicked the habit.
