Best Tonearm for Thorens TD-124.

I wonder what tonearm Art Dudley prefers to use with his TD-124. Mine is to be mounted on a solid plinth, with or without rubber mushrooms, I don't know yet. I'm thinking Ortofon 2M Black or Clearaudio Maestro cartridge. Anyone out there in Audioland with any suggestions? Thanks, GK

Ortofon tonearms made by Jelco in Japan
The TA series are contract manufactured by Jelco. I believe that the AS and RS tonearms are still manufactured by Ortofon in Nakskov, Denmark.

I remember interview with Leif Johannsen and he said Jelco is the manufacturer of the Ortofon tonearms, they are definitely better than Jelco own design (and more expensive), no doubt. Here is the latest factory tour and there is no tonearm manufacturing department in Denmark. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think all Ortofon tonearms made in Japan.
It is a matter of aesthetics. A TD 124 has to have an old SME on it. It would not be right with any other tonearm. The gods of audio history will strike you dead if you put anything else on it.
chakster, I'm pretty sure Jelco told me that they only manufacture the TA-series arms. I Googled it this morning and saw one reference that indicated that the other Ortofon tonearms were made in Finland (?). But I'm not really sure now. Anyone?
