Ehernet cable question in streaming systems

I want to install a "better" ethernet cable  between my streamer and remote wireless Google pod (my stereo system is in the basement}.  My question is this:  Should I also get a better ethernet cable between my router and modem (up stairs in my office) at the same time?  My thinking is, when I  upgrade the cable to my streamer, shouldn't the cheap, Google supplied cable between the modem and hub router be replaced too?  Thanks, Jim

+1 Supra Cat8.  But you will obtain a greater improvement by adding an audiophile-grade EN bridge between the generic router and your music server.  Then deploy relatively short sections of high-quality EN cable to/from the bridge.
sigh..... shame so many folks don't understand how digital music actually works.

"sigh..... shame so many folks don't understand how digital music actually works."

Sheesh! How does the above statement help anybody?  We all have to learn and I thought that this is what this sight is for!  I suppose you could say anything, like "sigh.....shame so many folks don't understand Russian literature, or entomology, or watchmaking, ad infinitum.
Hey, at least one person understands how digital music actually works. 🙄
The point @sailboat is making that data is only being supplied to the processing component.
Good cable runs are helpful, an example would be Shielded Cable.
