Speaker stand spikes or something else?

Speaker stand spikes or something else?I’ve got some Dynaudio Stand 20’s and they came with some nice spikes to push down through carpet to make them stable. However my carpet (Frieze type which is shag type carpet) with some memory foam type padding underneath doesn’t quite go all the way to the floor.

I am trying to figure out another way of placing my speakers on a solid ground.

I’ve seen some feet that have a way to balance themselves (almost like they’re floating) or I have some SVS rubber feet for my SVS sub that actually work very good for the sub but not sure they’d work for speaker stands.

I’m needing some ideas.

I’m a firm believer in rigidity when it comes to speakers. You don’t want the speakers to move. You want all their energy from the drivers to create an accurate wavefront. Any movement of the speaker will smear and distort the sound. By the same token you don’t want the speakers to vibrate the floor. If I didn’t have concrete floors, I’d have to put a paving slab on the carpet. Then spike or cone them to that.
