Your Pick Between These Two...

Room acoustics/size, equipment and musical tastes, all relative, which would you chose?

Joseph Audio Perspectives or Magico A3's

I'll leave it open, as I know there will be a multitude of other offerings. All other suggestions are greatly welcomed as long as you feel they may compete with all the requirements and SQ of the two originals in question. Particularly, if they come in under priced!

Thanks

MAGICO A3s are a great sounding speaker however this being said you need top flight amp, preamp and great copper cables.Great cables are Furutech or Purist copper.Enjoy whatever you get there is usually a wait of at least several months on MAGICO.

Read more about these, I've never liked a speaker as much. Had a wilson, a focal, a bunch of other speakers (not top of the lines but still). These need little power, so natural/neutral sounding, will fill your room with amazing sound provided its not super huge (up to 40m2), they have very decent bass even they are single drivers!

What amp do you have nobody knows yet, this should be the first criteria, before any suggestions are made.

As the Magico’s need an amp with guts (current) as they are 3ohms in most of the bass/upper bass and also 3ohms in the upper mids.

Where the Perspectives are an easy load and don’t need a muscle amp.

Not to say you need a lot of watts with the Magico’s at 87db a 100w will do, but it need to be a muscular amp that can do current into 2ohms to be comfortable.

The Perspectives how ever are an easy load, but are only 84db and would like an amp of 150w or more, but it can be a light weight mosfet, tube or even a Class-D, my preference in that order.

Navy,

I assume you have heard them both?

I have had the Pulsars in my home but the only
time I heard Magicos was at shows where they sounded
clean but uninvolving. i.e did not draw me in.

The Pulsars, on the other hand are a speaker I loved.
They work well in a smaller or medium-sized room
and make some bass too.

Are you secure enough with yourself to consider a no-name?
If so look at Fritz. $3500 may be as good as the Joseph. I only
think this. No personal experience.

Keep us posted on your progress.
