European Voltage: options

Hi,

I have an eye out on a Nagra Jazz preamp from Europe.
The  ACPS II is for 240 V and I have to use it in our 110-120v North American environment.
I don't want to buy an $$$ MPA; what else could I do to use this preamp?

Thanks
Bernard

A 110-to-220V transformer comes to mind. Additional benefit: the transformer will filter out circuit noise as well as give the right voltage.
I agree, but it seemed too simple a solution.

Any good ones to recommend? There are tons of crappy ones.
thx

No brand to recommend, sorry. Just at least twice (if not four times) the wattage needed, C or E type core, and you're set. There may even be a local shop winding them...

Just get the cheaper 15amp one of these. You have 240v up to your service/fuse box then it goes 110v/120v to your house.
One of these gives you the 240v back, without the need of expensive noisy step-up transformers.
