Amp for Martin Logan Motion 60XT

I seemed to be digging into a dark hole about recommended speaker wattage. I’m not sure how much amplification I should strive for to power the Motion 60XT’s. ML recommends 40-400watts for these. Is that in 4ohms? If I got an amp that could do 700watts in 4ohms would I damage the speakers? I am interested in either Hypex or Purifi amp. Not sure between NC400, NC500, NC1200, or Purifi. Any recommendations?
Thanks,

Please, don’t ever worry about too much watts.

Just know your volume knob limit is all.

I love my headroom, my effortless highs, liquid, airy midrange, and my bass extension.

Don’t be fooled by naysayers who say 100 watts is fine, it’s not.

Just know your volume, and the sound of beginning of distortion, more speakers are blown and damaged by underdriven than having a lot of power.

My speakers (2) pairs are rated at about 20-250 W peak, as most are. My only pair of higher power speakers are old 1986 cerwin vega D-9’s at (350)w peak.

My amplifiers are McCormack mono blocks at 700 WPC,  AND a stereo sunfire 600 WPC.
my lowest amplifier WPC is 380wpc at 4 ohm.

Never damaged a driver, and always have amazing sound/synergy.

 Power is your friend, always!!

Amp for Martin Logan Motion 60XT

They are 90db, so they don't!! need a lot of wattage, a 100-150watts at into 8ohm will do.
But they do have an amp taxing (for current) 2ohm dip around 200hz-400hz in the upper bass, they also have a taxing -phase angle of 65' at 70hz and also 3ohms from 70hz-150hz in the low bass.

These speakers need an amp that can do current at 2-4ohms without breaking a sweat right through the bass, "if you want get the best out of them." don't just buy an amp for it's big watts.
No Class-D's for these if you want the very best from them.

Integrated
Gryphon Diablo 120 or the 300 will both do nicely
Parasound  Halo Integrated Hint 6
Eariler Parasound Halo Hint

Poweramps
Parasound A21+
Earlier Parsound A21
Earlier Krells  etc etc.

Keep your amps!

 Just watch your vol knob!

as mentioned I have speakers rated at 250W peak, and amps at 650-700W @ 8Ohm.

no worries, you NEED the headroom, for crescendos, and ending power chords, and everyt(ing else.

150W is underpowered!

Keep the power.
Years back I used pro carvin amps dcm-2500 bridged and hooked me up to Altec Lansing  M-510’s, 2500 W to them, amazing depth, clarity, airyness, and never an issue!

onky issue was u reliable amps.

Since then always  used a minimum of 300-350WPC RMS INTO anymapeaker.

 power is your friend!

there's a mcintosh dealer here in whittier california that's been in business since the late 50's. at their store they have martin logan speakers powered by mcintosh amplifiers!
