Miracles in Audio, by luck, by good choices,by design or by tweaking...

I owned a low cost headphone for many years, the Fostex TH7B, first version( a new one close version exist Fostex TH7BK), semi-open headphone...I was never completely satisfied by any headphones I ever owned: Hifiman 400, Stax basic lamda, Stax 5 gold,Akg 340,Akg 701, beyerdynamic 990, and T150... Because in each of them with all their qualities I never listen to at the same times, a confortable headphone with natural timbre and voicing, with a good imaging and a realistic soundstage(not too close to my ears)...


For the last days I tweaked this Fostex, to damp his internal resonance I used sorbothane, I put some shungite stones at the exterior part of the cups and I use some Herkimer diamond in the interior pads( 3 at 120 degree) … Now this low cost headphones crush all my others if I sum all his qualities... For example his mids and voicing cannot beat the AKG 340 but among all my other headphones it is the best that is near that mids and it is more confortable, and with longer cable than the 340...His imaging is better and more realistic than the 340 etc etc...It is the same if I compare with the others...


His most important qualities is natural timbre and clear imaging,very precise pinned point accuracy and natural, so clear it crush for that ALL the others to dust...In the French audio circle the reviews were more than very positive few years ago...Diapason d’or and choc Classica...I am not the only one impressed buy the ratio quality/price... But remember that thesae reviewers dont tweak their headphone...The difference between before and after the tweaks are staggering...


Yes Miracles happens in Audio: cost is under 100 American dollars... Few years ago they cost me 50 bucks new... I never dreamed that I will go back to headphones...

UPDATE Herkimer diamonds:

I add athird little pack of H.D. to the 2 i already has added on top of of my Sansui amplifier transformer with the same positive results ....

After my "golden plates" Shungite+copper, the H.D. are the best minerals that create miracles in audio..... Tourmaline, kambaba jasper and agate and many others after that....

Remember that my herkimer diamonds were always used in complementratiry with other stones (shungite in the golden plate, or agate, or tourmaline mainly) to equilibrate and compensate the effects....It is in some way a tuning works....

UPDATE "golden plate"

I add a small golden plate with grade one shungite elite piece on the cable that go from the optical  converter to my dac...

Great increase in clarity....

I add 3 little piece of elite shungite to the power cord where my computer is connected, same results...

lesson:  Any spot upstream of your audio system need some stones or "golden plate"...

If the results is a little compression of the sound replace it by herkimer diamond or add some herkimer diamond to the golden plate....

I will repeat something important for the very few that read this audio diary....

In these last 2 years my system upgrade by implementing these 3 embeddings protocols are on his final way...

I dont think that i will discover another level, like the level i was going through in the last 3 months...

There is a limit with any specific audio system, when is potential is reached by rightfully controlling the 3 embeddings... I am here now, at least it is what i think.... Incremental small improvement are always possible for sure, i was thinking that my system was finished and my goal reached 3 months ago and i was in complete error.... :)

But if in my next future posts i speak about an improvement, it will not be so shattering that those in the past....

Except if i create something like the "golden plates" or the cone bells acoustical grids... Who knows?

The goal is already in  your own hands  if you cannot change any cd or files you are listening to, because the music is too beautiful to be interrupted, whatever the recording engineering quality was, good or less good.... This is the sign....Nothing else....Music reign supreme now over sound quality.... :)

UPDATE about the connected stones grid:

I re-made some connection that were no more so much well connected in my stones grid and gain a better imaging after....

Conclusion i will use other materials than instant Tac adhesive when i will recreate all my audio systen in another room in the months or years to come in a new house.... :)

Remember that the idea of the connected stones grid comes to me one bit at a times on a 4 years period.... I improvise with cheap materials.... No one were silly so much to guide me with that idea at all.... Nobody i know never connected stones with cables and battery in parallells to an audio system and all across a room with Schumann generators... Some glimpse of the idea i pick in Bybee costly tweaks....Mine work marvel for peanuts tough....

UpDATE Herkimer diamonds...

Never put a golden plate near an amplifier...Some stones worlk miraculously good upstream an audio system, not so much  on an amplifier ou near it.... Try on the cables not on the amplifier.... The sound will be too compressed...

But many other stones has good effects on the noise....Tourmaline, Kambba jasper, agate... But Herkimer diamonds are very powerful to clean the sound...

I now has added 5 little bags in all, 2 new today.... The effect is there increasing the clarity and imaging...
