What is the better sounding turntable: Project 1XCarbon or the Rega P3 ??

Rega seems to be closing out recent stock of the P3 table which I have seen advertised on "The Music Room" website. The Music Room also is selling new and used Project 1X Carbon tables.

The newer Project 2X Carbon looks great, but reviews seem  to indicate it is neither as good sounding or built as well as it predecessor.

Need some feedback as to what table: the Rega P3 or the Project 1X Carbon offers better value, and which will work well with different cartridges.

Thank you,

S.J.

How do you describe a sound of a turntable itself ? Tonearm/cartridge is what you’re hearing basically.
Different cartridge - different sound
The sound of a pickup arm/phono cartridge combination can vary depending on the turntable on which it is mounted. Turntables do have a "sound."

If we can swap cartridges quickly, how can you swap turntables without changing arm/cartridge ? Those turntables the OP is asking for does not have an option to change tonearm @cleeds
But is that sound so noticeable that you can't listen to your music. If you hear it then you have the hearing ability of a dog...no offense ,but really  Maybe if you had a cheap turntable but when you start spending hundreds  and have it grounded and not on top of your amplifier. I have never noticed anything. I Don't use head phones  I believed that would destroy your hearing faster than anything and all you guys under 40 hope your hearing is ok at 50.
I would choose based on on which one will Provide greater isolation from external vibration and track the record better. Tracking depends on Cart/tone arm combo as does the sound.

Which one is that?
It'll be the Rega but most seem to suggest avoiding whatever the matching Rega cartridge might be and go elsewhere for that piece of the puzzle.
