What's next for my system?

Hi,

Thanks for reading. I'm currently running a Simaudio i5.3 integrated amplifier routing lossless and DSD files from my Macbook pro (bitperfect) to a Chord Mojo. I use Monster M850i interconnects from the Mojo to my amplifier. A Curious cable from MAC to DAC. As for speakers, I obviously need to upgrade those at some point. They are Klipsch RP-500m. I use the factory power cable that came with my integrated amplifier and my speakers are on 28" - a solid set of stands by a company called Pangea. I've heard a lot of talk about power treatment among other methods. I use a basic outlet mounted surge protector to eliminate the use of a cheap extension cord for my amplifier. My favorite sonic signature is that holographic sound stage as if you have entered the concert hall and can see the musicians on the stage. The Klipsch do an okay job at that but I know my Moon deserves better. I live in an apartment so there is no capability to run my gear on it's own circuit. Anyway, suggestions are welcome on where I could go next whether it be power cables, speaker cables, interconnects, etc.

Thank you.

Why not save any $$ you'd have spent on new ICs, SCs, or PCs, and put that money towards replacing the speakers, which will make the biggest single impact on your system?

Sounds like you might already know where you want to start. Find some new speakers that match well with your amp and your desired sound goal. Then utilize cable and power improvements to fine tune things. That's how I went about it with my set-up.

For what it's worth, I found power to be the most crucial improvement in my system.
