Eyeballing the waterfall plots of similar drivers which use different diaphragm materials, Textreme diaphragms are competitive with Beryllium as far as cumulative spectral decay goes. Textreme’s settling time is extremely fast.

Based on encouraging initial tests a couple of months ago I contacted a company which manufacturers drivers with Textreme diaphragms about having something custom done. Apparently the company thought it was a good idea, as it now looks like my "custom" version will become a regular catalog item from this company, probably around the end of the year or the first of next year.

Between the Purifi and Textreme drivers it is a really fun time to be around if you are in to 6" mid woofers.

Implementing a more refined mechanical grounding method that couples the Purifi driver to my cast speaker cabinet. I am able to externally tune the system harmonics much the same as I do with my Grand Concerto endpin system for cello. If Geoff were around and I really hope he is we could discuss the importance of reducing shear wave interference in most everything including all speakers. Tom
