Am I too big of a jerk, even for audiogon?

Let me explain. I have extremely high and very vague standards. I look down on everything, and I mean everything, never talking about specifics or my own point of reference. I’ve looked down not just on people and equipment but science and facts as well. They are far far beneath me.  It is all too much for me to explain, but I am sure you are all doing it wrong.  WRONG, with a bold, underlined and hooker-script WRONG font used here.

I start these crazy troll posts which are incredibly successful in nabbing a lot of the regulars in audiogon.

I should be very happy with myself, but sometimes I have to wonder if my level of jerk is too much for all of you too handle. I’m trying to blaze a path, but are you with me audiofools or not???

People need to get a life, work, volunteer, do something !!
Read enough to establish the futility of this post.
I seriously doubt the OP enjoys music, unless he considers the sound of his voice as such. Perhaps he needs to be locked in an elevator alone listening to Lou Reed’s Metal Machine music for eternity.
Mho....
I suspect everyone that haunts this space enjoys music to whatever degree that consists of.  For some, just the 'event' of it, and the ability to do so in their own fashion and means.
Others may relish what I consider the 'esoteric'; the 'hunt' to be able to grasp the discrete nuance of their equipment to recreate a performance to the nth degree....
If being able to hear the 1st violinist breathe as well as play with 'brio', well....great.
Do so...let us know. *S*
Most of us fall somewhere in the Great Middle of the Audiophile Bell Curve. ;)

Wishing eternity on anyone is cruel enough, needlebrush.
As for L. Reed....the OP might like that.  Did you ask?
Hell, no.

The only way we as humans will experience eternity is through death.
That...happens eventually, anyway.
You get to 'go there' too.
Watch for what you wish on others... just saying....
Erik, in my experience you are nothing like a jerk.  Your posts are reasonable and helpful.  I look forward to reading what you have say.

It may be the passing of member almarg, but this is the second (at least) "mea culpa" posting I have read this week. Erik, you're right, there are a lot of jerks on this forum, but I have never counted you among them. Believe me, I'd be happy to tell you if I thought you were.
