Sources for Focal 1038Be II

I’m tempted to replace the Revel F208s in my bedroom with another set of 1038BE

do you find f208s lacking something compared with those focals?

The Focal 1038BE have a bigger, fuller, richer, transparent sound, and can hold its own over speakers costing much more.  Having said that, the F208s are no slouch, and surprisingly sounds very good, with really good instrument separation and base delineation.  It definitely punches above its price point.  In my experience, you would be hard pressed to find a better sounding full range speaker for less than $5k.

There is not a BE I and BE II version of the Focal Electra 10x8 line. The entire Electra 10x8 line is referred to as “BE II”, as compared to the entire Electra 10x7 line, which is referred to as “BE I”. The main difference is of course the 1” Be tweeter on the 10x7 line vs. the 1.25” Be tweeter on the 10x8 line.

I know where the confusion lies. The original CC1000BE/1007BE/1027BE/1037BE BEs have a smaller 1" tweeter vs the revised CC1008BE/1008BE/1028BE/1038BE

 

There is no Gen2 or v2 if you will.
