Seeking replacement option for Triangle Antal EZ woofer (damaged)

Hi Audiogon!

New to these forums, but figured I'd give this a shot. I have a pair of Triangle Antal EZ (non-anniversary edition) with one damaged woofer I'm looking to replace. If it were just an aesthetic thing I'd just live with it but during low or bassier sections I do actually hear it crackling, so I've unhooked the one faulty woofer for now.

I tried to follow this up through the dealer I purchased with but they've gone a bit dark on communicating a solution/replacement/etc. The four woofers on these towers are 6" and the sensitivity is 92db. The actual issue is, a child pushed in the cone and now it's in there for good (and the crackling is maddening).

Any help would be appreciated - thanks! :)

You're talking about the dust cover in the center? Use a vacuum cleaner an have your finger on the switch, and set the  "vent", open on the hose a bit.

OR use a piece of tape, I've never seen one I couldn't pull out or repair.
Even cracked, I've repaired them with nail polish, and or silicone.
Also pretty easy to replace just the dust cover. You have to get a size that will work..

The noise, usually means something is touching. Pushing in the dust cover? Not sure why it would make noise. Not usually a problem, other than looking bad. It can offer distortion, but I'd doubt I could hear the difference.. Maybe, but I'd doubt it..

I am a Triangle dealer.  Email me and I'll get you a replacement driver.  jtavares@adkav.com
FYI: The Triangle drivers are made by Triangle and require Triangle parts (cone). A replacement driver would be the easiest overwise you'll need a new cone kit and a re-cone expert..
I did try the various "fix it" options but to no avail - also, not something I relish doing on a $2500 pair of speakers. Need to either replace cone, as some suggest, or get in touch with adkav to seek a new driver.

I'm excited I'm not stuck - glad for all the help!

Cheers,
Joe
