Excellent recording of Mozart Jupiter No.41 ?

Does anyone know of an excellent digital recording of the Jupiter symphony? I don't mean a DDD recording, just one available on CD or HDCD. Thanks,

megasam Details Discussions Posts This discussion Message User 798 posts 02-10-2003 at 04:19pm Copy Comment URL Report Comment Edit Delete I like the newer small group recordings better like Saraste/Virgin (2 CD set late symphonies budget price) or Glover/ASV etc have much clearer more agile perspective of sound which seem to suite Mozart better. The Walter, Bernstein, Bohm etc are a bit heavy and old school.....good only if you want warm romantic readings, the Mackerras/Telarc is OK but nothing special to me. The Hogwood and Marriner versions are pretty good.
