Help with Phono preamp suggestions!

An Audiophile friend has recommended a Whest Phonostage 2.0 as an upgrade from my Musical Surroundings Nova Phonomena. Opinions, comments?

I'm a big fan of Whest phono stages- I have owned three. Currently use a MC Ref V on my main deck.
Never tried a Hana cartridge with Whest but you could drop Jim Henriot an email via his website to confirm that it would be a good match or not. Whest stages are very flexible with loading and gain. I used a Titan Pro with a DV Xv1-s on my LP12 and it was a great result. Whest are very clean and dynamic sounding with great resolution and low noise. They are my go-to choice.
I have owned Tron phono stages as well- Convergence Sig and Seven Ultimate. These are tubed units so a bit different from the Whest. Great phono stages and the Convergence is a bit of a bargain but you are stuck with a single load/gain value- not a lot of flexibility here.
Whest is being distributed by Mofi/Music Direct now. I think you can try and return if it does not suit you? Worth the effort imo...good luck!
I had a Whest 2.0 for several months. It was pretty good. Its MC was pretty good too. However, I moved to  Magi Phonomenal. It is a hand made point to point connection tube phono preamp with two MM inputs. To my ears, Magi sound better. Also I went to separate MC SUT (based on Hashimoto transformer) which produced a better result with MC cartridges. Also, I like two separate phono inputs supported by Magi. I am not sure whether it is still produced, but you can give a try.
I owned a Vida as well....a bit more "vanilla" when compared to a Whest 30 RDT SE for example. The Vida does not have loading options either- only High and Low. I don't want to come off as a Whest fanboy here, but they are really good phono stages for the $. I will exit now....
