ML 432 not enough?

I am using a ML 432 to power up my Magnepans 3.6R. Since the beggining it felt I was not getting enough oomph. Could this be possible? This thing is 2X400 wpc at 8ohms. What am I to do? Next thing is the 33 or 33h which is seriously more expensive (esp. for those of us in Europe). Any feedback welcome.

Thanx. Unfortunately it's tough to audition them as there is only one pair of these in Greece and the dealer won't take the risk of opening them up without a guaranteed sale. As a result, I have to be very careful with my research before undertaking such a serious expense. If people have more input to provide, it is more than welcome.
Levinson and Magneplanar are two similar sounds, and despite the ooomph of all that power its the thin highs and mids of the Levinson coupled with the less than Dynamic bass of the Maggies conspiring to get bright before your system gets right. 33H's are worse.

Any Classe amplifier (Mike Singer) is a brilliant idea, YBA, Gryphon, even the Acoustic Reality Mono's are likely to just transform your system right to where you want it which by all rights if I were to guess is crystal clear but as a-musical and unfun as it comes right now.
