Steve, yes, from doing some research, many also prefer the new Duelund wire over (some of) the old Western Electric, but, I dunno, I tend to be a purist 😁 and wanted the real thing.

The Western Electric WE16GA was what became the ‘legendary’ wire for audiophile use, questioned the guy who made mine about that, and he assured me, having used/listened to both, (and others), the 50’s 10GA wire was as good if not better. That WE16GA wire is about extinct now, and costs a ‘fortune’ when you find any.

I’m pleased thus far, got some ‘burning in’ to do, but he said the speaker wire only needs about 20 hours. The smaller gauge 1940’s wire used for the IC’s varies.
@tomic601 I'm not a huge Span fan, man. I do like their Maddy Prior vocal songs though. The SQ on the compilation is solid.
