a recent ebay purchase from Germany from whence I’ve had good results but this, although appearing perfect, is one of the scratchiest records I’ve ever heard. Worse even than my grandparents’ 78s. Not certain if this record ever sounded good, don’t know this label, it’s hooded and muddy besides the tics, maybe double damage. It’s a shame because it’s such good music and this issue has a really nice cover. Will research to find a better issue for the ‘Pathétique’. Please let me know if anyone here knows a good one. @bkeske, do you have a favorite recording of Tschaikowski’s 6th Brian?
