As far as Hilary, yea, her solo Bach album is spectacular. In the ‘classical circles’, Hilary is a bit of a polarizing musician. Some feel she is too technically ‘perfect’ and doesn’t bring enough of herself and emotion to the work. I can see that as compared to some, but personally, I think she is fantastic, and don’t quite understand that criticism overall. Then, there are others, as myself, who are mesmerized by her playing. I have many of her works on CD, and enjoy them all.
