In case you didn’t get the news today, Chick Corea died on Tuesday. Cancer. Going to play his solo piano albums 1 & 2 tonight.

Yea, sad indeed. Damn cancer.

Got to see Chick and Pat Metheny play at a bar, of all places, in Columbus (German Village area) back in the late 80’s. Fun evening, and found myself very lucky to see both of them in such a intimate setting.

Another acquisition that arrived in the mail today....


Sir Neville Marriner conducts Bach - The Art of Fugue. Academy of St. Martin-In-The-Fields. Philips 2LP box set. European pressing 1975.


Close to mint condition, - except-  the old foam dividers disintegrated (removed at one time) in the box and some material got on/embedded two sides in a couple small areas, so I did some careful cleaning to remove as best I could. Hopefully it all plays through well. I’ve heard some very good things about this set.

@bkeske Brian,

Joni is releasing lps from her archives. I mentioned the "Live @ Canterbury House _ 1967" a while back. It's a wonderful three lp set presented beautifully.
