@spiritofradio and @bkeske, Vaughan Williams is one of my very favorite composers. I love many of his orchestral works, but he had a wonderful way of writing for the voice. Some of my very favorite choral works are by him: Serenade to Music, Dona nobis pacem, and his motet, "Lord, Thou Hast Been Our Refuge, to name a few.
My listening this evening has been weirdly eclectic: Bread - "Baby I'm-a Want You", Art Pepper - "Winter Moon", Marvin Gaye- What's Going On, "Ringing Strings: Fiddle Music of Norway", and now "British Band Classics: Works by Walton, Holst,and Jacobs" by the Eastman Wind Ensemble, Frederick Fennel, conducting.
