What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report

I enjoy vinyl and digital (lately, with recent changes, vinyl actually sounds better than digital to me), BUT given what seems an overall preference for analog/vinyl on A'gon, I'm curious what the non-vinyl "1/2" is listening to. I tried to see if this was a previously posted question. Did not seem so.

This evening for me, it's Genesis (definitive edition remaster) "A Trick of the Tail".

Yeah!!! pity it got all the life (squashed) compressed out of it.

My favorite "Parisian Walkways 93" (Virgin France PM 515 limited edition) http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/view/66275

And donโ€™t forget "Still Got the Blues", which has the only streamed/downloaded version that Iโ€™ve seen that hasnโ€™t been (squashed) compressed.

I was kind of dismissive of Japan SHM-CD SACD's in another thread recently, but Countdown to Ecstasy sounded pretty good last night.ย  Still a little on the "bright" side, which is how most of the SHM CD's I've purchased seem to be, but very enjoyable.

The SHM ones are a bit compressed to the originals, any compression make things sound bright/loud and uneasy to me.

Gaucho was the pits with later squashed releases and HD downloaded ones

Got around 6 of these, the best for me for a very long time was the 1980 Philips 400-021-2 Kirill Kondrashin/Concertgebow
Then I got the Joseโ€™ Serebier?London Philli. RR-89CD. both very very good depending on mood.
