Clear difference between Harbeth 30.2 & Super HL5 Plus?

If there is a clear difference would anyone care to discuss?
They are so close in price I’ve often wondered what place they serve in the line-up.

PS: Don’t know why Audiogon system put extra words in thread title.

@gunners01 - you’re always welcome to come by and listen to them at my house to see what these speakers are capable of. IMO, and from what I remember when I heard it at your place, the LM amp is not doing enough justice to the SHL5+. I tried the speakers with my other tube amp (Raven Audio Blackhawk), and they sounded like a completely different speaker, and not in a good way.

I don’t listen to hard rock or post-punk, but for almost all other genres these speakers are breathtaking. You’re more than welcome to visit :)
Firstly thanks for the offer.  I may still take you up on the offer to hear the Luxman.
You are absolutely right and it took a failure of my LM amp for me to be pushed to do something different.  I now have a PrimaLuna EVO 400 and it is night and day.  Now all of the aspects of any music have seem to come to life. I hooked the new amp up yesterday and didn’t leave my music room for 5 hours.  No listening fatigue, just pure bliss.
I ran the first 2 hours without a sub and was exceptionally pleased.  I then attached a new REL S812 and it took the entire soundscape to a new level...from one that was already exceptional.
Thanks for the encouragement.  This far I’m hugely pleased but may still want to hear what they sound on a superb solid state.  Thanks!
@gunners01 -- It's great to hear that you're finally getting the results with PrimaLuna. The SHL5+ are some of the best speakers I've heard and definitely scale with better amplification. Having said that, given your preferred musical genres, I still feel that you'd be happier with SS class A, but then again I've not heard the speakers with Primaluna so I might be wrong. Good luck!
Which Luxman are you talking about? (-: I have the 550 AX/II driving C7's on the Trager stands. It's not quite tubes, but they get on quite well together. I could see the wrong tube amp being too much of a good thing with the 7's...as in having too much bass bloat. Maybe too ripe is a better description.
