Finally! Fantastic news. The shutdown has had a tremendous impact on the live music scene. Everything from many early (earlier) retirements of orchestral musicians, to the type of programming that will be heard. Expect to hear fewer of the larger scale works for some time still. This due to the financial hit that many orchestras have suffered and the remnants of the in stage social distancing requirements. Still, a great step toward normalcy. Thanks for supporting live music.
Live music finally!
Well sort of...
Anyone catch the live broadcast of the LA Philharmonic at the Hollywood bowl last night?
First performance in over a year. A couple of friends had the opportunity to attend(tribute to medical first responders) For those of us unable to be there, it was a live broadcast on KUSC. Likely broadcast to all the public stations across the nation.
Barbers "Adagio for strings" and Ludwig V’s 3rd-"Eroica" sounding quite good. I recently put the 65 Mac MR 71 back on a proper rooftop hookup. Those of you with a really nice tuner surely enjoyed it as well.
