A little rough. Recorded in someone's basement.
Doesn't sound like J Mascis is lead vocal on everything back then.

You hear some hints of their later sound on a few songs, i.e.  Where you Been (1993).

I have that album, "It's A Beautiful Day".  I bought it new in 1973 and is in perfect condition.  One of the best Hippie period albums I own.  It sounds really good when played really loud.  I just did that a few weeks ago.  Lots of fun...

Mentions here about Leo Kottke got me looking for my copies.  I was surprised not to find any in my mix.  Maybe I lent them out and never got them back?  Well, I bought two on Discogs and they should arrive in a few days.  S/T and Burnt Lips.  $4.99 and $2.99, respectively.  NM/M- rating on condition.  Maybe they are the ones I had lent out...LOL
