Mine is a professional measurement table of 200lb granite with rubber feet sitting on a tripod metal leg construction that allows perfect balancing.  250lb total. I can jump up and down in front of it with a record playing and there is no audible impact. Can be seen in my system.
I have a Neuance/Greater Ranges platform/shelf supported by adjustable upturned brass spikes and it's been my end game for many years now.

I modified the "bolt together" rack by mig welding into a solid one piece unit.

I also use a Greater ranges shelf under the CD deck.

See system details for +info.

Without spending a fortune, I would recommend Adona. Very heavy duty look but classy with granite/MDF bonded shelves. Core Designs are also nice to look at as well as Timbernation, although I can't vouch for the performance of those two.
