Classe Five Preamp > Classe CP-45/47.5 Preamp

After 20+ years of satisfaction with my current rig (Classe Five, Classe CA-201, Acarian Alon IIs) I'm finally looking to replace my 30 year old preamp design with a 20 year old preamp design to pick up modern amenities like a remote control and a more finely graduated volume knob.

Is anyone out there familiar enough with old Classe gear to comment if I'm taking a step down moving from the Classe Five to the CP-45 or CP-47.5 preamp? I have the phono module in the Five and will be looking for a CP preamp with that feature as well (which drives up the price considerably).

My research indicates that aside from the RCA terminals (non chassis mount on the 45/47.5) these are decent pre-amps. I'm not sure if the Five is an analogue to the CP-50 or not. The old Six with its separate power supply definitely seems to map to the CP-60.

I realize we're talking about ancient gear here so any knowledge is appreciated.

I use the SSP-800 in my HT. The sound is very good: very clean, very listenable. Not as clean as my vinyl system, mind.
