What system would a robot with ears buy?

Electronical design measures and parameters are very useful to created POTENTIAL good performing audio system... Of any kind....

But all others not always easily measurable parameters used to control mechanical,electrical and acoustical working embeddings dimensions of any audio system are economically fine tuned by the EARS...

Then give me any "relatively good system" fitting in my small room i will make it optimal and very good by simple science facts and unorthodox means, all that with my own ruling ears...

I know because i did it...

Then all people promoting their fad best design over all others are deluded about audio fundamentals even if their fad design piece is very good....

Most people cannot fathom this simple fact....They always fall for market customers conditioning....Especially if the cost of a piece of gear is new and very high...

Music is not reducible to physical sound, it is a truth in psycho-acoustic...

Then a robot with non human ears will never listen to Beethoven.....Only to physical sounds  with some meaningfull limited patterns and meaningless noise, all of which cannot be perceived to be music  without a human rythmically beating  heart........

Obviously, I would go with the R2D2 electronics. 

In regards to your question, I would guess something "tinny" sounding....:-)))

pauly gets “best post” on this thread.  Thankfully I listen with MY human ears,and not some sort of scope or other measuring device. I’m not saying measurements don’t have their place,I’m saying my ears overrule for what I like.  I’m the one that is paying for the gear with MY money to make ME happy.  

Which raises the question, What would a robot want with a system in the first place?
