CD player as a transport

If you could choose a CD player to use as a transport, which would you choose, and why would you choose it. Used is fine, under $350 is my budget
My Hint6 has a nice dac onboard

I would try to find a REGA Planet or Jupiter as these are top loading machines with less parts that break over time. One of the best most rugged CD players I ever owned was a Phillips 960 All metal sliding drawer with copper screws. Also, California Audio Labs made rugged players as well. Hard to find CD players not made completely out of plastic. Best CD player BAR none for transport is the Esoteric NEO VRDS...breathtaking.

Suggest the OP kgveteran grab this asap. They are good. With decent transport/laser, not a slot load computer cheap stuff.

Cheers George

DVD players are no comparison to a cd player, front panel buttons, headphone jacks, the speed of loading a disc, the drawers not made of 100% plastic, outputs analog and digital…..noisey mechanics is another DVD thing  i dont like, my player will be about 4’ from my LP. Front panel displays are another plus with a cd player

DVD players would sufice, but i need a little more, speaking of more i need more money, so my budget is below the cambridge stuff now.
I posted another thread titled cd player as a transport, im there now, a cd player as a transport.

Thank you guys for your suggestions and opinions, i’ll see if i can find one on the bay
