Sounds like your amp needs service. Try disconnecting the preamp from the power amp and run the power amp connected to the speakers only. If popping still happens, you've isolated it to the amplifier.

all PS audio electronics Have to be both channel tubes to go faulty at once, highly unlikely. Don’t think PS Audio use common rectifier tubes for both channels, think that stage is all solid state.
