Why the cost increase?

Small is sure sounding better to my back.. LOL I been moving some 375 pounders, fitting my new fangled bases with pocked rear casters. That it almost 90 lb with the two casters and one pod.. 465 lbs is heavy. 

75 lbs.. is more like it.. :-) To hot to work here. 100 or close for weeks now. Not me anymore.. NEVER again...55-75 perfect..

Does anyone actually know where all of this is heading?

We were casually informed back in Feb that the UK economy had shrunk to its lowest point for over 300 years!
And it continues to shrink as the national debt overtakes its GDP.

Meanwhile over in the US, from what we can gather via the mainstream media, things aren’t what they used to be.

The recent humiliation over the fall of Afghanistan suggests that some global transfer of power has already occurred.
The US debt threatens to also overtake its GDP.

Just how much further can this form of economic enslavement go? Are we all destined to end up as economic slaves paying ever increasing stealth taxes to enable our governments to repay ever increasing stealth interest repayments?

For sure people are concerned, people are worried, and it won’t surprise me to see them seeking ever increasingly desperate measures.History often has a way of repeating itself.

In the meantime there doesn’t seem to be too much that we can do about any of this. Other than try to stay healthy, try to stay afloat economically and maintain healthy relationships.
At least that way we can best face whatever it is that’s coming next.

Oh yeah, let’s not also forget about music and playback equipment. It might be behaviour akin to that of the band on the Titanic, but at the very least we can still choose the tunes and hope our posts don't keep getting deleted in the meantime.

Heavy - I heard the Mac line source / seperate Mid and bass cabinets w mid at Audiocraft in Cleveland in i am guessing late 80’s. i am sure it was at a Mac performance clinic with my dad. i remember a wall of sound, but Dad was a Bozak man thru and thru….

I agree well said cd318. If it get deleted this time we'll ask Mrs Tammy to put it back up.. She can and has done just that.. There is software involved you know. It's not a physical mod most of the time..

tomic601, interesting. Now as soon as the heat wave breaks I think I'll get back out in the shop. 2 months, I haven't done a thing.. I use to couldn't wait to work in the shop, on cabinets..

Boy have things changed. I'm looking at a plinth on the back porch waiting for a clear coat.. It took a month to find a non water base hardener for oil base urethane.  They want 100.00 for clear coat.. My way is 30.00 a gallon and sets just as hard and polishes pretty darn good.. 6 weeks of curing and wax.. Hard to beat.. for about 10.00 a plinth..

Paint and good thinner is 20% higher in just the last 6 months.

Everybody gets a 10% raise to compare with 50% increases on everything else.. It NEVER fails, like vultures. Smokes were .39 a pack for camels and .29-39 cents a gallon for 95 octane fuel. 1969 My Dad made 2 cents a gallon on fuel.. 1.00 or 1.25 an hour...for wages
