The lovely Capriccio Continuo Admonitor 311's a real gem. Your thoughts?

Has anyone else had the experience of hearing the Capriccio Continuo Admonitor 311's? I purchased a pair with matching stands after having had the opportunity to demo a pair and they are a wonderful sounding pair for bookshelf speakers. I've always stayed away from bookshelf speakers thinking they can't compete with some floor standing speakers...I was taken aback how wonderful they sound and just how good the bass is for their size, and how beautiful they look. Italian speakers and excellent reviews.

I have them paired with a Klyne SK-5 preamp and Quicksilver V4 tube mono blocks. Finally I can relax and enjoy the music this system can provide.

Anyway, I couldn't contain my excitement for these speakers LOL and I wanted to share.

The gentleman talked about Zellaton drivers but it might not have been in relation to the CC’s. My memory is not as good as it used to be lol. I thought there was a connection. I think they might have in common that they are sandwich drivers? Again, I should research before making a comment.
Nice looking little speaker. I like the option to add woofers down the line.
The problem is that at $6,000.00 a pair you can have a pair of Magnepan 3.7i's. Granted there is a huge size differential but...
Undoubtedly they are much more competitive price wise in Europe.
I am a little late to the party, but i just recently purchased a set from Bernard at Charisma Audio in Ontario. I have them paired with a Sugden IA-4 pure class A amp, and i could not be happier. They are a very musical and focused speaker, the clarity is insane. I compared them to my Dynaudio special 40’s, and there was no comparison. The 311 is a far superior speaker in every way. Mind you the 311’s were $3000.00 more than the S40’s . I listen to a wide variety of music, but mostly jazz, blues and classical. These speakers pull out annunciation far above anything else i have heard. The more you toe them in, the bigger the soundstage gets. i have an extreme toe in right now, and it works in the environment i have them in And the musicians move all over the stage, its hard to explain. As for the Magnepan’s ? I watched a review this morning that claimed you need a 500 wpc amp to drive them otherwise they sound distorted.
Hilroy48, you will enjoy these speakers very very much. I switched out my solid state preamp for a tube preamp paired with my Quicksilver V4 mono blocks with my Capriccio Continuo Admonitor and the sound was phenomenal. These little speakers are amazing. I am now selling my mono blocks and have a Class A power amp on its way that I am very keen to try. Congratulations on your choice of speaker! I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts! I listen to jazz, folk, classical and I love female vocals on these speakers, like from Melody Gardot.

Did you receive your class A amp yet? What are your thoughts thus far.  I know my Sugden is a great match with these speakers. I also have an Aqua La Voce S3 dac and an Audiolab 6000 CDT. For analog, i have a Rega P3 with Goldring 2300 cart, With Michael Lim platter upgrades.  Cables are Madison Audio Lab E3Extreme2 Speaker Cables
