@mammothguy54..I have a very early Apple pressing of All Things Must Pass also and agree that the SQ is not the best but I still do enjoy stepping into the "Light". 

Also agree with @bkeske that the recording was most likely impacted a bit by the over-production of Phil Spector. 

I'd be curious to hear how the newly released remasters sound.
