If they are in nice shape and working go for it! The HK XX and XXP were and still are competitive with much costlier gear! I missed my chance years ago to buy the XX amp for a low price! Parts for repair are readily available.

Newby here, Considering purchasing a HK citation XX and XXP pre and power amps from about the 83era. I understand these were a significant amps in there day, but how do they honestly compare today and how are they for parts ? Does anybody have any experience with these legends, I would appreciate any feedback you’re able to provide.
